Production: Sourced from various of the youngest vineyards, less than 20 years old, on the Villacreces estate. 

The wine has been aged for 12 months in new French oak barriques.

Tasting Notes:

Fresh, elegant nose of red fruits. Full-bodied but juicy, with lots of fruits, crème de cassis, liquorice, spicy, supple round tannins, charming style with easy-going texture, and great complexity.

Notes: To be enjoyed during the next decade.

Pruno is the latest wine from the Villacreces winery. It has the personality and full character of Finca Villacreces, and the 2010 has been nominated in the EE.UU. as the best Spanish wine under 15 €.

It is a stunning option for a top Ribera del Duero at its very best and at a very affordable price. Pruno 2011 follows the same philosophy as the outstanding 2010 vintage, noted for its elegance and freshness and its unique and complex character.

The vintage was classified as 'excellent' and, moreover, still maintains its stunning value.
