Pacharan is a liqueur almost exclusively made in Navarre, North Spain, where it is a traditional and very popular after-meal drink, dating back to medieval times.
Production:
It is made by macerating the selected blackthorn or sloe berries growing wild (Endrinas) in anise, using the same artisan methods and traditional resources since its beginning.
It is stored in 500-liter oak casks where the sloe berries are macerated for at least three months. This results is an intense ruby colour, with a fresh and fruity scent and a slightly aniseed note. Velvety and unctuous on the palate, sweet and fruity.
Best served chilled at 6–8ºC, in its purest form, or with ice if preferred as an after-meal drink to aid digestion.
