Production:

Sourced from centenary Grenache old vines. The 3-hectare vineyard is located on a hillside of steep slopes at La Figuera, on the northern side of Monsant D.O. The soil is made up of the characteristic slate, named "Licorella".
The wine has aged for 14 to 16 months in 4500 litres oak foudre.

 

Tasting Notes:

Sweet cherry and mineral-scented nose, notes of spices, liquorice, and hints of sweet oak. Full-bodied and balanced. On the palate, it has a lovely intensity of fruit, cherries and blackberries, some floral notes, and violets and roses. Smooth texture, round and full, with freshness and length on the finish.

Notes: It is recommended to decant this wine before serving. This wine will gain even more complexity with time in bottle.
