Production: 

Elaborated 100% from the indigenous variety for excellence in León, Prieto Picudo. It is grown at 850 metres above sea level on clay and chalky soils and sourced from vines with an average aged of 40 years.

Hand-harvested bunch by bunch. Grapes selected at the sorting table, fermented with natural yeasts for approximately 28 days and briefly aged in new and used American and French oak barrels for 6 months.

 

Tasting Notes:

Lovely deep ruby color. Sweet nose with a touch of vanilla oak, plenty of fresh berry fruit aromas, spicy, touches of licorice, and floral notes. Fruit-forward, fresh and round tannins, and a refreshing finish with lingering vanilla. Very pleasant.

Notes: Drinking beautifully during the next 3–4 years.
