Production:

Elaborated from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested after having achieved the strictest ripening controls. Fermented at a controlled temperature of around 26ºC for 18 days in stainless steel vats, followed by 12 months in French and American oak barrels.

Tasting Notes:

Richly scented nose, quite fruity, with spicy notes like clove and black pepper. A round and silky palate with full-bodied, typically blackcurrant-type fruit with mint and cedar notes will age well.

Note: Good potential of ageing in bottle and could be stored for up to 6 years.

THE WINERY

Founded in 1851, De Muller is a top name in Tarragona, very well-known worldwide for being the supplier of the traditional Mass wine and for its rancio and fortified wines. At present, De Muller offers a very wide range of quality wines under the Denomination of Origin Tarragona, as well as in Priorat and Terra Alta. Since the beginning of 1996, the winery, surrounded by its vineyards, has been located in the finca "Mas de Valls" in Reus (Tarragona). Their modern installations have a capacity for a production of four million litres, and here they elaborate the Tarragona Denomination of Origin wines, all sourced from their 150 ha of owned vineyards. They also have a property in the village of El Molar, in the south-eastern part of El Priorat, with 34 ha of vineyards, "Mas de les Pusses", and a new cellar with a capacity for 500,000 litres, where they produce the Priorat Denomination of Origin wines.
