Production:

Arx Tesalia is a blend of Tintilla de Rota, Syrah, and Petit Verdot, carefully selected at the vineyard and at the table selection in the winery. The grapes come from different plots, all of them facing northeast.

Manually harvested at night and vinified separately. Controlled fermentation and maturation in used French oak barrels for 12 months.

Tasting Notes:

Fresh and clean, jammy black fruit, succulent plum fruit and blackcurrant aromas, spicy hints, and sweet herbs. On the palate, it shows great complexity, soft with well-integrated fine tannins, finely crafted, with nice balanced acidity, spice, and length.

THE WINERY 

Bodega Tesalia is a relatively young project started in 2008 by father and daughter Richard Golding and Natalia after falling in love with this beautiful part of southern Spain and the extended virgin land at the foothills of the Grazalema range, very close to the historic village of Arcos de la Frontera in Cádiz. Here, they saw the enormous potential to put into practice their ideas and their passion and make reality their project, the "Tesalia Estate", which comprises 106 hectares of land, of which 11 ha are under vines on north-facing slopes, planted with the varieties Tintilla de Rota, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah, ideal varieties for this poor and unfertile terroir composed of clay and limestone soils.
