Production:
Elaborated from old Grenache vines, sourced from the 10 ha estate “Aiguasals” in the municipal district of Falset, growing on sloping slated soils (known locally as Licorella), and from old Carignan vines (Samsó) planted on a small parcel with clay soils in the municipal district of Els Guiaments.
The Grenache has aged for 14 months in French oak barrels, and the Carignan in American oak barrels.
Tasting Notes:
Clean nose displaying freshness and consistency with aromas of mature dark fruits, blackberry and plums, combined with mineral notes and over a superb liquorice background. Very pleasant and fresh on the palate, with a slow and soft entry in the mouth, good fruit expression, slightly spicy and savoury, and showing good, fresh, and balanced acidity with mature tannins. Outstanding length, showing an elegant minerality at the finish.
Note: It is recommended to let the wine breathe in the glass for a short time to achieve its maximum potential. This is a wine to be enjoyed over the next 5–6 years.
