Albahra is a red Mediterranean wine produced in Castilla-La Mancha from an inland, single vineyard at an elevation of 800 metres in the Almansa region. It is primarily a combination of Garnacha Tintorera and a small percentage of Moravia Agria.

Production:

Fermented partly as a whole cluster in open concrete vats with autochthonous yeasts and matured also in concrete for eight months on its lees without battonage.

Tasting Notes: 

Fresh, honest aromas of red fruit and spices, berry fruit, and cherry notes intermixed with floral notes. Mouth-filling, slightly earthy, with rich dark fruit and hints of pepper. Fine tannins with a silky touch.

THE PROJECT

Envinate is a venture of four friends who, after studying enology together, embarked on a project that was unique to them. Currently, it has established itself as a solid and dynamic project with great recognition and prestige, both nationally and internationally, for its "terroir" wines, which are highly sought after for their excellent value for money.

Following their passion and ideals and with a lot of work and their expertise, they have proudly created a range of honest, authentic wines from distinctive areas, mainly in the area of Ribera Sacra and also the Canary Islands, always working with the local varieties, wines that speak of the terroir where they come from.

They work in a natural style, using no chemicals in any of their vineyards; all grapes are hand-harvested, and they use wild yeasts. Sulphur is added in those cases where it is needed, such as during bottling and ageing in old barrels and concrete vats.
