Production:

Grapes are sourced from a selection of the best grapes from vine stocks with an average age of 60 years. The 50 ha of vineyards are located in different plots around four villages in the Rioja Alavesa: Samaniego, Leza, Elciego, and Laguarda.

Harvested manually, followed by careful sorting of the grapes at the winery. The malolactic fermentation took place in new and second-use French oak barriques (80%) and American oak (20%), followed by 26 months of ageing. Bottling without fining or filtration in July 2019. 

Tasting Notes:

A super wine with a beautifully mature nose of red and black fruits, subtle aromas of cranberries, and mineral notes with a hint of vanilla and a fine edge of spice. The palate is ripe and big, mouth-filling and smooth. Very structured with an elegant finish.

Notes: It is recommended to decant the wine at least 2 hours before serving. Drink now through 2032.
