Pintia is a member of Spain’s greatest winery, Vega Sicilia, one of the Alvarez family’s projects on the bank of the Duero River, created in the Toro region in 2001. It is made from old-vine Tinta de Toro, the region’s local strain of Tempranillo, of about 40 to 60 years of age.

Production:

Matured for 12 months in new oak, approx. 70% French and 30% American oak barrels.

Tasting Notes:

Beautifully concentrated, ripe baked blackcurrant and plum fruit, cedarwood notes overlaid with spice and minerality. Very distinctive, smooth, and round, with a good concentration of dark berry fruits. Great length and good tannins

Notes: It is recommended to decant before serving. Can be enjoyed now or cellared; it will to mature beautifully.
