Atalier is another outstanding new project from Raúl Pérez under the Denomination of Origin Rias Baixas. Another winner, this time with the collaboration of his friend Rodri Méndez.

The grapes come from two different coastal sites with very old Albariño vines in the Cambados area, Salnés del Valley, located a short distance from the sea, growing in a mixture of sandy and granite soil.

The harvest takes place at least two weeks later than usual. Fermentation and ageing take place in a large old French oak foudre in contact with its fine lees for 7 months.

The Atalier bears the telltale stamp of Raul’s wines and could be reminiscent of his big brother, Sketch.

The collaboration with other winemakers and wineries has also proved a great success. He works with the autochthonous varietals of the area. He makes amazing wines in different appellations in Galicia and elsewhere, always small and selected productions. Getting hold of his wines is not that easy, as they are probably one of the most sought after.
