The wine comes exclusively from a single vineyard, Finca Meixeman, 1.2 ha located at 400-500 metres above sea level, from 70-year-old Mencia vines on granite and slate soils. A Mencia blend with 20% of other local red varieties. 40% of full clusters of grapes.

After a long fermentation of about 50 days, it spends 12 months in 225-500-litre used oak barrels. Bottled unclarified, it rests for at least another 3 months before being released.

Tasting Note: Beautifully clean nose, fresh red fruit aromas, and floral touches. Good complexity on the palate, displaying red and black fruit flavours with elegant mineral touches and soft tannins.

ADEGAS GUÍMARO is a small family winery that produces a small and selected amount of wine in the traditional way. They own 8 hectares comprising 30- to 100-year-old vines and work another 12 to 14 hectares under their control. The vines are planted in single-row plots in a privileged natural setting on steep slopes ranging between 50% and 70%. They collaborate with other wineries such as Niepoort and Raúl Pérez.
