Production:

The Godello grapes come from old vines from different plots around the Amandi sub-zone on slate, granite and sandy soils at about 300-500 metres of altitude and from vines ranging between 60 and 70 years old. Fermented in used oak barrels of 225 l. and aged for 10 months with its lees, followed by another 2 months in bottle. A wine of limited production.

Tasting Note:

Good complexity, lively aromas, fresh fruit, and floral notes; hints of minerality and salinity, and good acidity with lemongrass and peach notes.

                                           

ADEGAS GUÍMARO is a small family winery that produces a small and selected amount of wine in the traditional way. They own 8 hectares comprising 30- to 100-year-old vines and work another 12 to 14 hectares under their control. The vines are planted in single-row plots in a privileged natural setting on steep slopes ranging between 50% and 70%. They collaborate with other wineries, such as Niepoort and Raúl Pérez.
