Coma Calcari, or "the enfant terrible" of Mas d'en Gil, is a lively, salty white wine. A single vineyard wine produced entirely from white Grenache. It comes from the "Coma Alta" plot, the vineyards that have given their name to this wine until the vintage 2018, situated at the highest point of the "Vall de la Coma". The vines planted in 2000 are growing on licorella soils.

Production:

One-third of the grapes spend 6 months in 500-litre French oak barrels and another 12 months ageing in bottle.

Tasting Notes:

Lively with intense notes of white fruit and forest aromas, present minerality, and a slightly salty character.

Notes: Good ageing potential.

Mas D’en Gil is a 125-hectare estate that has been in the Rovira family's ownership since 1998. It is located in the Bellmunt del Priorat district, in the southern part of the historic Priorat region. It contains 45 ha of vine-planted terraces and hillsides at 300 metres above sea level, with soils comprised of the distinctive Priorat slate soil.
