Protos single varietal Verdejo has been elaborated at Bodegas Protos' new facilities, which are equipped with state-of-the-art technology for the production of this Rueda Appellation of Origin wine.
Production:
Maceration and fermentation at 14 ºC. Aged for three months on its fine lees.
Tasting Notes: A fresh, complex, elegant wine with very intense aromas of fresh grapefruitand melon flavours. Fruity with good acidity.
Notes: Best enjoyed in its youth.
THE WINERY
Since it was founded in 1927, the company has grown rapidly, becoming one of the region’s more well-known brands. This modern winery in the town of Anguix (Burgos) controls 1400 ha spread out over numerous plots with an average size of around 1 hectare dispersed throughout the Ribera del Duero region.
The vineyards are located on the best estates and in areas that are best suited to growing Tempranillo grapes, with the majority of the vineyards planted on south-facing hillsides at elevations of up to 900 meters and comprising a variety of soil types.
