Production:
A minimum of 4 months in American oak casks and 6 more months in bottle is the ageing time for this youngish oaked wine elaborated from100% Tinta del País (Tempranillo), an autochthonous variety of Ribera del Duero.
Tasting Notes:
Good concentration on the nose, with ripe red berries and a touch of oaky notes. Rich and velvety with ripe tannins and a lingering finish.
Notes: Drink now and for up to 3-5 years.
THE WINERY
Since it was founded in 1927, the company has grown rapidly, becoming one of the region’s more well-known brands. This modern winery in the town of Anguix (Burgos) controls 1400 ha spread out over numerous plots with an average size of around 1 hectare dispersed throughout the Ribera del Duero region.
The vineyards are located on the best estates and in areas that are best suited to growing Tempranillo grapes, with the majority of the vineyards planted on south-facing hillsides at elevations of up to 900 meters and comprising a variety of soil types.
