Telmo Rodríguez's Muscat of Alexandría dry white wine is a mountain wine made from vines planted between 550 and 1000 meters above sea level on very steep, slate-sloped hills behind Málaga.
Production:
100% hand harvested. Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks with native and selected yeasts, and bottled un-oaked after nine months of ageing in the same tanks.
Tasting Notes:
Light and aromatic, fruit and floral aromas, honeysuckle, citrus fruits, mineral. Dry and silky on the palate, with a slight bitterness towards the end.
Notes: It ages very well in bottle.
Compañia de Vinos de Telmo Rodríguez was established in 1994, following Telmo's time working at the family-owned winery Remelluri. At the moment, he is producing rare and limited world-class quality wines in eight different DOs, using exclusively native grape varietals traditional to their regions, and adhering to his philosophy of recovering abandoned vineyards that are biodynamically farmed and exclusively bush-trained.
