Sánchez Romate Hnos has been an independent and family-owned company since 1781. Well known as the producer of Cardenal Mendoza, one of Jerez’s best brandies, and also for its range of good and excellent sherries and sweet wines. Their exceptional Brandy de Jerez was created in 1887 as a different and unique brandy for their own consumption, and due to its great popularity, it was then marketed under the name of Cardenal Mendoza.
Carta Real is a Solera Gran Reserva Brandy, renowned for its exceptional quality and long ageing process. It is produced in strictly limited quantities to commemorate the arrival of the new millennium.
This Solera Gran Reserva brandy is crafted from a selection of the finest distilled holandas. Aged for an average of 25 years using the traditional "solera and criaderas" system in American oak barrels previously seasoned with old Oloroso sherry and Pedro Ximénez.
Each bottle is individually numbered.
Tasting Notes:
An exceptional brandy with a beautiful dark mahogany colour. Round and smooth, with a balanced, clean and elegant aroma. It displays a harmony of subtle flavours, raisins, plums and sultanas as well as hints of old leather and a subtle sweetness. It shows a long, persistent finish.
