Production:  This exceptional Brandy de Jerez, Cardenal Mendoza was created in 1887 by the Sanchez Romate brothers, made as a different and unique brandy for their own consumption, soon earned a worthy reputation and was then marketed. This Solera Gran Reserva brandy is made from a selection of the finest distilled holandas, aged using the traditional “solera and criaderas” system for an average of 15 years in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks.  Sánchez Romate Hnos is an independent and family-owned company since 1781, well known as the producer of Cardenal Mendoza, one of Jerez’s best brandies, and also for its range of good and excellent sherries and sweet wines

Tasting Notes:  An exceptional brandy with a beautiful dark mahogany colour and bright, golden tones. Round, clean and elegant with no harsh edges. Long, warm and balanced, displays a harmony of subtle flavours and an intense finish of raisins and plums.
