A very special wine to the winery, elaborated by the founder's son, José Maria Vicente, in commemoration of his father, Nemesio Vicente, as a tribute and respect after his death for his commitment to the Monastrell variety and dedication to his lifelong work as a farmer and viticulturist.
A wine that comes from the first 2.5 hectares of vines, which were planted at the highest point in Las Gravas, at the foot of the Sierra del Molar mountain. Old, low-yielding vines at 720 metres above sea level facing north.
A wine that will only be produced in truly exceptional vintages.
Production:
Hand harvested. Fermentation of partially full clusters with native yeasts. Matured for 19 months in 500-litre used oak barrels.
Tasting Notes:
Good concentration of ripe fruit, fruitiness, yet elegance. complex scents of spices and dried forest herbs. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, fresh, subtly perfumed, and balsamic, with black fruits, juicy tannins, and a long finish.
Notes: A wine with outstanding potential for longevity.
