Artigas is mainly made up of grenache, carignan, and cabernet from Cabernet Sauvignon vines between 10 and 35 years old and 90-year-old Carignan vines. As a result, we get a surprisingly well-balanced wine in terms of potency and freshness, which makes it a good introduction to a good Priorat wine.

Production:

Aged for 16 months in new, second, and third-year French Allier oak. Afterwards, the wine is blended and spends another 4 months in concrete tanks.

Food Suggestion: Especially red grilled meats, rich meats like lamb and duck, and game.

Tasting Notes:

Concentrated aromas of ripe fruit, bitter cherries, plums, and cassis, with soft spicy and mineral notes. Fresh and lively with a beautiful complexity, silky texture, and good body. Well-integrated oak with fine tannins and a long, elegant finish.

Notes: It is recommended to decant the wine. Can be drunk now and over the next decade.
