Cairats origen, red wine from natural and ecologic viticulture, is a blend of three autochthonous varieties sourced from three unique plots totaling 10 ha of owned vineyards planted between 1959 and 2011 on stony, clay soil in the hills within the municipal district of Darmòs and Els Guiaments at an altitude of 145-175 meters above sea level.

Production:

The grapes are harvested by hand and follow a strict selection process both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Fermentation takes place in small stainless steel vats, with the skins fermenting for 8–10 days and will spend 10 months on its lees. Clarified with gelatin and bottled by decantation, according to appropriate lunar phases.

Tasting Notes: 

Warm and generous with scents of red fruit, spices, and balsamic notes, with a subtly touch of caramelized fruits and forest fruits. On the palate, the wine is ripe and fresh with a fine tannin-infused finish.

Note: It will drink nicely over the next five years.
