Elaborated by Celler Rendé Masdéu, a small family-run winery in L'Espluga de Francoli in the Denomination of Origin Conca de Barberà. A winery with a long tradition in the wine business, inherited from their forefathers.

The family cultivates and elaborates organic wine, especially from single varietals of indigenous varieties that are well-suited to the terroir; they are also successfully specialized in the production of bittersweet vinegar from Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.

Production:

Harvested by hand from their own vineyards on licorella soils. Destemming, maceration, and fermentation in 3000-liter French oak barrels.

Matures for 12 months in 500-liter French and American oak barrels.

Tasting Notes:

Intense garnet colour. Firm and dense with good complexity, dark fruit, dark plums, and notes of violets with spicy, peppery overtones. Expressive, with adequate acidity and a mineral finish. Ages well.
