Ferrer Bobet Selecció Especial Vinyes Velles is all elegance and class at its best, with great finesse and harmony, qualities that contribute to the unique personality of this top-quality wine. Sourced from centenarian Carignane and Grenache old vines from the best Priorat vineyards. These vineyards have exceptional slate soil, locally known as "licorella", and are located on steep slopes and high elevations.

In Ferrer Bobet, there is a great respect for the expression of the terroir; their aim is to make top-quality Priorat wines that will reflect with elegance, freshness, and harmony the mineral essence and complexity of the region.

Production: 

The grapes were handpicked and hand selected, grain by grain, on a double sorting table, so only the best were picked.

The wine has been aged for 18 months in new fine-grained, medium, and lightly toasted French oak barrels. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, followed by ageing in bottle for a minimum of 11 months. 

Tasting Notes:

Made with impeccable care, it exhibits amazing depth and complexity. Plenty of ripe black fruit, with touches of flowers and violets, a distinct spiciness, and scents of chocolate, vanilla, and liquorice. Warm with a remarkable creamy and velvety texture.

Note: A minimum of two hours of decanting is recommended. A wine with years ahead of it will gain even more complexity with time in bottle.
