Production: 

Cepa Gavilan is the bodega’s youngest red; it is made from the younger vines that are 10 to 15 years old.

The wine is made entirely of Tinta del Pais (Tempranillo), an autochthonous variety of Ribera del Duero, and spends 12 months in new French and American wood.

Tasting Notes:

Flavoursome, mouth-filling, and fresh with succulent mature black fruit, vanilla-infused balsamic, and slightly smoky notes.

Notes: Drink now and up to 3-5 years.

THE WINERY

Founded in 1980 by three brothers, the Pérez Pascual brothers. The bodega remains a family winery and has become one of the great names of Ribera del Duero, producing excellent quality wines and maintaining a constant regularity year after year.

The modern winery is located in Pedrosa del Duero, a town well-known for its wine-making tradition. The cellar owns 135 ha of vineyards, most of which are planted with 90% Tinta del País and the rest with Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyards are 800 metres above sea level and have chalky clay soils.
