Production:

It is produced from a blend of primarily Grenache with a smaller percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from fossil-rich soils. Careful sorting of the grapes in the vineyard is followed by a second selection by hand on a sorting table. Fermentation takes place in 5000-liter French oak foudres lasting about 20 days. The wine undergoes 12 months in fine-grained French oak barrels of 5000, 600, and 225 liters. Bottle by decantation according to the moon cycles.

Vinyes del Terrer's state consists of 9 parcels scattered over 7 ha. located south of Tarragona, in the municipal district of Vilaseca, within the D.O. Tarragona. The vineyards are planted on siliceous, fossil-rich soils accumulated over millions of years, at an altitude of 20 meters above sea level and just 2 km away from the Mediterranean Sea. Its microclimate is characterized by its abundant sunshine and gentle sea breezes; this, together with the particular composition of fossil-rich soils, produces intensely mineral wines.

Tasting Notes: Well defined nose of jammy fruit, smoky and dried fruit nuances. Medium-bodied, with a distinct spiciness and mint note on the palate, elegant and structured, meaty with dark fruit flavours, displaying good minerality with well-integrated tannins and a warm, round finish.
