Elaborated from 100% Grenache sourced from low-yielding old vines from two single vineyards, "Monte Alto" and "La Sarda", located on the slopes of the Iberian Mountain range, close to the highest peak of "El Moncayo", with soil composed of very arid slate.

Production:

Hand-harvested, traditional winemaking, cold maceration for 24 hours, and ageing on its lees for 4 months in new French oak barrels.

Tasting notes:

Fruity nose, marked by the characteristic spicy hints. Ripe, medium-bodied, smooth, integrated oak, and lively tannins.

Bodegas Aragonesas was founded in 1984 and has 3700 ha of its own vines, some of which are over a century old. The winery produces a quite extended range of wines, where the Garnacha plays a star role, being an essential part of their heritage. Here it shines at its best to produce wines of the highest quality. Coto de Hayas is the flagship brand, the soul and pride of Bodegas Aragonesas. Under this brand are elaborated wines from the highest quality vineyards.
