Production:

Made from a rigorous selection of Tempranillo grapes from their own vineyards in Briones, in la Rioja Alta, vines with an average age of 45 years growing on clayey soils facing north.

Fermentation at a controlled temperature off 28 oC for 10 days with 3 pumps over a day. Aged for 14 months in French oak barrels with racking every 4 months.

Bottled without filtration or clarification.

Tasting notes:

Very expressive on the nose, mint and tobacco mingle with aromas of dark fruits and blackcurrant fruit, with spice, toasty, and herby notes. Good complexity on the palate with excellent tannins, spicyness, and fruit in harmony.
