Tanca Els Ulls is a young, Mediterranean red wine, 100% black Grenache. Made by Cesc Boronat of Celler del Cesc, the man behind this small winery born in 2014. He works the family vineyards located in Nulles, a town in Tarragona's Alt Camp. The vineyards are cultivated organically, in a respectful and environmentally conscious manner, and he constantly works to produce wines that capture the essence of the surrounding landscape.
The Grenache grapes come from "Finca Mas Gaya", a small vineyard located in the village of Picamoixons, at the foot of the Miramar Mountain Range. The vines grow on a terraced slope in calcareous, clay soils with traces of slate. The work is done organically, always with the utmost respect for the environment.
Winemaking:
Harvested by hand, macerated for 10 days with whole pressed grapes. Spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts in stainless steel. Aged for 3 months with its fine lees.
Tasting Notes: Natural wine, 100% Mediterranean. A youthful, cheerful, and expressive wine. Fruity and very fresh, with a smooth and pleasant mid palate.
