Production:
Made from Garnatxa negra, Carinyena, and Syrah grapes from vines that range in age from 10 to 35 years.
Fermented with native yeasts from the same vineyard.
Tasting Notes:
Youthful, lively, and fresh, with a distinct Mediterranean character. Bright cherry colour, with flavoursome fresh red fruit and aromatic herbs, spices, and citrus notes. Fresh and mineral on the palate, with excellent acidity and spicy flavours.
Notes: Drinking very well now and during the next 4-5 years.
Coca i Fitó is about the brothers Toni and Miquel, the driving force behind this unique and innovative Celler that creates singular and very much appreciated great quality wines. Coca i Fitó is the brand that identifies the winery's more singular wines.
The wines are made by Toni, a renowed oenologist with an extensive curriculum and a great reputation in the area. Their project, which began in 2006 in DO Montsant, has not stopped expanding, always searching for new challenges and wine-producing regions to add to their already impressive and interesting range of wines. They have since added DO Terra Alta, DO Empordá, and recently also started making wine in the DO Ribeira Sacra.
