The Aiaiai is a young and pleasant Priorat wine sourced from the youngest vines, which are between 15 and 30 years old. Its cuvée is mainly Grenache (both Negra and peluda, "hairy Grenache") and Carignan, with a touch of Syrah and Merlot. The fruit is sourced from different vineyards across Priorat. The Syrah, Merlot and most of the Grenache come from Poboleda; the Hairy Grenache comes from Bellmunt del Priorat, and from Torroja come the Carignan and part of the Grenache.
Production:
Each variety is fermented separately in small stainless-steel containers. Aged for around 8 months in second- and third-year barriques as well as clay amphoras. Lightly filtered before bottling.
Total production: 2197 bottles
Tasting Notes:
Classy, mature black fruit nose of plum, blackberry, and cherry with hints of liquorice and cocoa. A smooth, full-bodied, flavoursome wine, nicely balanced with good minerality, fruit, and spiciness, with slightly smoky notes on a pleasant and rich finish.

En Números Vermells is Silvia Puig’s individual project; she is a young but very experienced winemaker with an impressive winemaking resume, belonging to a new generation of winemakers in the Priorat.
She makes small amounts of amazing wines in a very artisanal way. It started with producing just one single barrique in 2008 in a small garage converted for this in the village of Torroja. Now, she has her own place in the village of Gratallops, where she produces the wines. All the fruit is carefully selected from different plots staggered in Costers (a Catalán word meaning 'steeply sloped') and terraces with soils dominated by the characteristic 'llicorella', or slate, in different points of the Priorat.
