Production: 

Sourced from 2 different fincas owned by the Aixalà family, which are planted with Grenache vines less than 25 years old and old Carignan vines on the characteristic slate soil named Licorella at an altitude of 339–387 meters above sea level. The winery is located in Torroja del Priorat within  D.O.Q. Priorat.

The cultivation of the vineyards is done under sustainable viticulture and observing the biodynamic principles. They employ no pesticides, fungicides, or herbicides. Aged for 9 months in 3rd- and 4th-year French and American oak. Today their vineyards are fully recognised and certified by the Catalan organic farming council (CCPAE), and they also apply preparations based on biodynamic farming methods.

 

Tasting Notes:  Fresh red fruits aromas, herbal, rosemary, thyme and mineral notes. Palate dense, mineral with sweet species and ripe forest fruit.

Note: Enjoy it over the next  4 - 5 years.
