Cims de Porrera wines are still made in the village co-operative of Porrera, and this team has produced yet another excellent wine with the balance and harmony of a wine made with great care – wines that truly reflect the characteristics of the Priorat region. It exhibits more depth, aromatic intensity, freshness, and concentration than the Solanes that it replaces.

Production:

Produced from a blend of Carignan and Grenache grapes sourced from the youngest vines. Aged for 16 months, 80% in cement and foudres and the other 20% in French oak. Followed by another 3 years in bottle.

Elaborated as “Vi de Vila" from Porrera, the new legislation introduced in 2009 by the DOQ Priorat recognises and protects each region's different characteristics – viniculture, climate, soil, etc. – with the purpose of highlighting their particular characteristics. 

Tasting Notes:

Beautifully intense aromas of red berry fruit, liquorice, mineral notes, and a distinct spiciness. Display a pleasantly sweet, jammy, black-fruited palate. Medium-bodied palate with good concentration, velvety texture, lovely rounded tannin, good acidity, and freshness. Finishing long and dry.

Notes: This wine will drink well during the next 8-10 years.
