Production: 

Grapes source from 30-50-year-old vines. The vineyards are located around the village of Batea, in Terra Alta, the most southern region of Catalonia, at an altitude of 400-500 metres above sea level and made up of clay-chalky soil very poor in organic matter.

Aged for 15 months in new French oak barrels.

 

Tasting Notes: Good concentration of mature dark fruit, black currant, and plum aromas; spicy and peppery notes. Full-bodied, pleasantly creamy palate with subtle oak, balsamic and mineral tones. Very concentrated yet elegant, with some firm tannins but matured and well integrated on the finish.

Notes: It is recommended to let the wine breathe before serving.
