Grapes sourced from 20-90-year-old vines from 12 different vineyards at an altitude of 52-234 metres above sea level. The plots are located around the village of El Masroig in the appellation of Montsant in the Catalonian region.
The wine has been aged for 3 months in 4-year French oak barriques. The vinification is done in La Cooperativa del Molar.

Tasting Notes:
Fresh and lively style with intense aromas of red fruits and slight floral hints on the nose. Good fresh autumn fruit on the palate, well supported by the creamy oak. Marked tannins yet nicely refined. A wine that invites another sip simply to enjoy it.
Orto Vins started in 2008 as the result of a joint project by four vine growers from El Masroig, a small village inside the appellation of Montsant in the Catalonia region.
Jordi Beltran, Josep Mª Beltran, Josep Mª Jové, and Joan Asens – all of them come from families with a long tradition in vine-growing. With this project, headed by Joan Asens, an experienced oenologist best known for his work during 15 years at Alvaro Palacio's winery in Gratallops, where he was in charge of the viticulture and vinification side, they return to their origins and continue to blend the finest quality wines from their own vineyards, according to their traditions.
