Clos Pachem Camí de la Mina is a blend of 50% Carignan and 50% Grenache from the Clos Pachem Project. A small family winery founded in 2015 by Michel Grupper and located in the village of Gratallops, in the very heart of the renowned Priorat wine region.

Clos Pachem has established itself as a leading reference winery in the Priorat wine scene for its firm commitment to quality. They are producers of premium wine that honour the terroir from which it originates. The wines are characterised by their freshness, minerality and great expressiveness. Focusing on sustainable and environmentally friendly viticulture, the winery adopts regenerative, organic and biodynamic farming practices. Their philosophy centres on producing wines with minimal intervention that will reflect the uniqueness of the region.

All Clos Pachem wines are Garnacha- and Carignan-based, the most emblematic varieties of the Priorat region. The winery counts on its best asset, the "Los Planassos" estate, planted with old vines in limestone and llicorella soils, where the grapes to elaborate the premium wines come from.

Production:

Made from equal parts Carignan and Grenache grapes sourced from different locations within the DOQ Priorat. The grapes are harvested from old vines over 40 years of age, growing on the characteristic llicorella slate soils of Gratallops and on the sandstone soils of the Torroja area.

Harvested by hand with a first selection of the grapes in the vineyard, followed by a second selection in the winery. Vinified separately by varietal and terroir at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Short maceration. Fermentation is spontaneous with native yeasts and gentle pumping over.

The wine has aged for 12 months, half in French oak barrels and half in 1000-litre ceramic stoneware vats.

Tasting Notes:

A deep cherry-red colour. On the nose, fruity notes of dark berries such as blueberries and plums are beautifully integrated with hints of scrubland, woodland herbs and subtle spicy undertones. Full-bodied on the palate, with fruity tannins, sweet notes and subtle hints of menthol.
