Production: 

Taittinger is the result of a blend from over 35 different crus and different harvests with an unusually high proportion of Chardonnay (40%) for fine non-vintage Champagnes. Minimum ageing of three years in the cellar.

The style of the champagne is strongly shaped by the chardonnay, with unmistakable floral aromas and a very expressive and open nose. Lively and crisp, fresh fruit and honey flavours with very fine bubbles.

 

Taittinger has recently become one of Champagne’s big names. It dates back to 1743, when it was owned by Jacques Fourneaux, but it is only since 1945 that the firm’s expansion started to take place and it became one of the most acclaimed in the champagne industry. Throughout this expansion, the firm has purchased an important number of vineyards, currently owning 288 hectares in the finest locations of the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs.
