Louis Roederer's 245th blend symbolises the freedom of the Roederer style. This blend is based on the remarkable freshness of the "Perpetual Reserve", complemented by the depth of the reserve wines, which have been aged in French oak, and the finest wines from the outstanding 2020 vintages.

Production:

The wine is the marriage of reserve wines matured in oak barrels and a collection cuvée, a blend of six different vintages based on the 2020 harvest. An assemblage of the three champagne grape varieties over a period of 6 years of harvesting and from more than 40 different plots, the wine was aged for longer than usual, 3 years in the cellar, and 6 months of rest after disgorgement to achieve optimal maturity. A dosage of 10–11 g/l is added to each vintage.

The Brut Premier is an upmarket non-vintage champagne aged for longer than usual and intended to give immediate pleasure on release. It has real structure and a great Pinot character. Delicate and elegant, as well as fresh and generous.

Louis Roederer is a well-known champagne house and also one of the most profitable. Its flagship wine, Cristal, is probably one of the most sought-after prestige cuvées since this unique wine was created in 1876 at the request of Tsar Alexander II for his own personal consumption. Seventy percent of the quality of their wines comes from their own vineyards. The Roederer vineyards are exceptionally well placed and intelligently spread across the three classic champagne districts. In the cellars, attention to the smaller details of fine winemaking is very impressive. Their distinguishing feature is the use of large oak barrels (foudres) to age the reserve wines.
