Quality sparkling wine certified organic. One of the first Brut Nature elaborated in Spain and consolidated as a great classic. Produced from the three traditional cava varieties: Macabeu, Xarelo, and Parellada from mountain vineyards.
Harvested and vinified on the family estate. Manually harvested, follows a process of grape selection at the vineyards; only the first juice, the so-called tear must, and flowers must, will be chosen to make the Cava Llopart. Aged in bottle for 26–34 months.
Straw yellow colour with fine, constant bubbles. Clean nose, fruit aromas and ageing tones in perfect harmony, hints of pastry, and dry almond notes. In the mouth is light and fine, dry and soft, finishing with a pleasant ageing shade.
Note: Best consumed up to 12–18 months after disgorgement date. Ideal to have it on its own or to accompany any dish.
Cava Llopart is one of the oldest Cava Houses in Spain. The family’s history dates back to 1385, and the first Cava Llopart bottles were produced at the old country house cellar in 1887. Despite a difficult start due to the phylloxera plague at the end of the 19th century, they managed to pull out together with great perseverance and hope by introducing the most suitable grape varieties to elaborate, high-expression, and complex cavas.
Today, Cavas Llopart is consolidated as a high-quality product by being true to their roots and using exclusive craft elaboration methods in accordance with the strict traditional system of "Champenoise".
They elaborate their cavas at the family’s country estate "Can Llopart de Subirats", situated in a mountainous area that was geologically formed 22 million years ago, and where a great number of molluse fossils have been found. Here, the appropriate microclimate with moderate rainfall and the balanced grounds with a moderate level of nutrients and organic compost, shape the perfect setting for vine cultivation, resulting in concentrated, balanced grapes of exceptional fineness that will define the personality of all their cavas and wines.
The wines from the winery are organically farmed and produced, duly certified by the authority CCPAE, the Catalan Council of Organic Production, the public watchdog responsible to the Catalan Government's Ministry of Agriculture.
Llopart is a founding member of the new brand, CORPINNAT, which stands for a collective European Union Brand established with the aim of distinguishing great sparkling wines made in the heart of the Penedès from 100% organic manual harvest, 100% vinification on the premises of the winery, and long ageing.
