A wood-aged red wine that represents the terroir where it comes from, the intensity of the grapes when reaching full ripeness at the vineyards.

Las Niñas vineyards show clearly that they have established firm roots in Apalta, the small valley within Chile’s well-known Colchagua Valley's low-altitude coastal hill, a horse-shaped valley surrounded by hills.

Apalta’s soils are made up of sandy and clay loam, with more granitic soils on the hillsides. The low-fertility soil is excellent for winegrowing and gives its name to the Apalta Valley, which in the local dialect means "poor soils". They also benefit from the valley's cooling Pacific breezes, which extend the grape's ripening period and preserve their acidity.

Production:

Maceration for 7 days. Fermented for 7 to 10 days with daily pumping over. Aged in wood.

For consumption over the next 3-4 years, it is ideal to be enjoyed with pastas and pizzas and is a perfect partner with turkey, pork, and roasted meats.

Tasting Notes: Elegant and complex aromas, lots of ripe dark fruits, chocolate, herbs, spices and cedar wood. Juicy and fresh, round, elegant tannins.
