Usatges belongs to the range of wines elaborated by Costers del Siurana, a family winery founded by Carles Pastrana and Mariona Jarque in 1974, one of the pioneers that rediscovered Priorat. The winery is located in the municipality of Gratallops in the Priorat region.

They produce a range of fine wines with excellent ageing potential; their flagship wine, Clos de L'Obac, has been made since 1989. All their wines come from their own vineyards situated in the Sierra del Siurana, on steep slopes with poor and stony soils. Actually, their wines are internationally recognised for their quality and complexity.

The wines are produced in the traditional way, adhering to a fixed coupage system that repeats the varieties and percentages of grapes each year, defining the character and personality of each wine according to the characteristics of the climate of each vintage.

Production: 

Produced from a blend of various grapes that complement one another, located in the village of Gratallops (Priorat). Slow fermented and aged for 12 months in 2º-year French oak barrels.

Tasting Notes: 

With a strong Priorat typicity, this is the perfect wine for an introduction to the Priorat region. Soft red and black ripe fruits, cloves, and spices in a warm, rich, and smooth long finish make a very pleasing, elegant wine without any complications.
