Can Sumoi red wine is a blend, half and half of Sumoll and Garnatxa; both grape varieties are hand-picked from sustainable, organic, and biodynamic vineyards.

Production:

Fermented with the skin in stainless steel vats at 22º-28ºC for 15 days, only using native yeasts.

The Sumoll spent 12 months ageing in foudre and the Garnacha in stainless steel vats before being bottled unfiltered and unstabilised.

The wine has no more than 30 mg/l of sulphites in total.

Natural red with a strong Mediterranean character and a remarkable freshness and aromatic complexity of wild fruits and Mediterranean herbs.

THE PROJECT

Can Sumoi is the latest project of the Raventós family (Raventós I Blanc). Their latest acquired estate is an agriculture farm dating back to 1645, located in the Massís del Montmell, DO Penedès, with vines growing on poorly developed calcareous and stony soils at 600 metres in altitude.

In this ideal setting, the Raventós i Blanc family began their project based on respect for the environment, natural winemaking with the minimum intervention possible, and practising 100% organic and biodynamic farming.

The result is a range of high-quality natural wines, made from native varieties without the use of additives or any other manipulation. Wines with great personality and quality that transmit the flavour and characteristics of the terroir.
