Finca Capeliños is one of the winery's top wines, an excellent representative of the terroir with great ageing potential and a very limited production; only 1000 bottles were produced in this vintage.

Finca Capeliños is a vineyard owned by Bodegas Guímaro in Ribera Sacra. The wine comes exclusively from this small, just 0.6 hectares, south-facing vineyard located in the municipality of Sober, at 350-400 metres above sea level, with Mencía vines over 80 years old, growing on granite and slate soils.

Finca Pombeiras is made from a blend where the Mencía has a leading role, along with 30% of other local red varieties.

Harvested by hand. Fermented in open-top cone-shaped wooden barrels with 40% full clusters and autochthonous yeasts. Lightly pressed and matured for 12 months in used 225-litre French oak barrels. Bottled without fining or filtering.

Tasting Note:

Intense reddish-ruby colour with a distinct mineral profile. The nose is dominated by notes of black fruits combined with subtle violet and fragrant Mediterranean herb notes. Rich and well-balanced, with fine marked tannins and a subtle mineral vein.

ADEGAS GUÍMARO is a small family winery that produces a small and selected amount of wine in the traditional way. They own 8 hectares comprising 30- to 100-year-old vines and work another 12 to 14 hectares under their control. The vines are planted in single-row plots in a privileged natural setting on steep slopes ranging between 50% and 70%. They collaborate with other wineries such as Niepoort and Raúl Pérez.
