Can Sumoi produces a range of pure and authentic natural, high-altitude  Mediterranean wines with the least possible intervention in all the processes of viticulture and vinification. 100% organically grown. The grapes come from the Can Sumoi estate in the Montmell Mountains.

Production:

Hand harvested and pressed in the winery. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 17 ºC for 17 days with indigenous yeast, 2 hour maceration with the skins, spontaneous malolactic fermentation.

Bottled without stabilisation or filtering, it does not contain any added oenological products.

Best enjoyed in its youth within 1–2 years.

Tasting Notes:

Wine with a strong Mediterranean character of a pale salmon colour with scents of elegant fresh red fruits and floral notes, good fresh acidity, finishing with a pleasantly nutty touch.

THE PROJECT

Can Sumoi is the latest project of the Raventós family (Raventós i Blanc). Their latest acquired estate is an agriculture farm dating back to 1645, located in the Massís del Montmell, DO Penedès, with vines growing on poorly developed calcareous and stony soils at 600 metres in altitude.

In this ideal setting, the Raventós i Blanc family began their project based on respect for the environment, natural winemaking with the minimum intervention possible, and practicing 100% organic and biodynamic farming.

The result is a range of high-quality natural wines, made from native varieties without the use of additives or any other manipulation. Wines with great personality and quality that transmit the flavour and characteristics of the terroir.
