Ganagot d'Alforja is a long-aged red wine made in the most traditional rustic style, reminiscent of fortified wines. It is matured on lees with grapes of native varieties sourced from the winery's own vineyards. A wine with excellent bottle-ageing potential.

The wine is made by Mas del Botó, a family-run winery housed in an old farmhouse in the valley of the river Cortiella, Alforja, within the DO Tarragona. Mas del Botó elaborates its wines with the grapes from the 5 hectares of vineyards owned by the Llauradó family, located at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level.

Tasting Notes:

Deep cherry red colour. Warm and enveloping, it displays a very intense nose of very ripe fruit, reminiscent of cherries in compote, combined with aromas of fennel and liquorice. On the palate, it is full-bodied, dense, potent, with volume and a warm, persistent finish.
