Ecologic wine, made from a careful selection of the varieties Merlot and Grenache sourced from old vines growing at the highest point of the "Sierra LLaberia" mountain.

Production: 

Aged for 12 months in new and 1-year-old French oak barriques.

Tasting Notes:  Full bodied with a good, complex nose of ripe dark fruit, wild herbs, berries, and minerals, while the palate has ripe tannins and mature fruit with spicy notes. Intensive, concentrated, and nicely balanced.

CELLER CAPÇANES

Founded in 1933 by five families from the village of Capçanes, who together established a cooperative that would handle large quantities of grapes economically and efficiently. The cooperative bears the name of the village where it is located: Capçanes, a village hidden away in the Priorato hills inland from Tarragona and with a long wine-growing history.
In the 1990s, the company was reinvented as an independent company with its original members as shareholders; today, they have around 130 members and produce a wide selection of high-quality wines, including the well-known Peraj Ha’abib, a Kosher wine, under the Montsant appellation.
