Production:

Made from 100% Grenache sourced from low-yielding old vines. Grenache vineyards that cling to rugged terrain on the slopes of the famous Moncayo mountain.

Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a temperature between 25 and 30°C for 21 days. Aged for 5 months in new French oak barrels.

Tasting notes:

It displays rich aromas of ripe berries combined with floral notes, roasted herbs, and spice. Full-bodied blackberry and strawberry flavours, hints of leather, vanilla, and plums. Finishing long and smooth.

Notes: Will drink well over the next 3–4 years.

The Cooperative of Borja was founded in 1958; in 2001, Borsao obtained its own legal status with the creation of the company Bodegas Borsao S.A. Actually, it comprises over 2430 ha. of some 620 vine growers in the northwest of the province of Zaragoza, most of them situated between 400 and 700 m above sea level and protected by the Moncayo Mountain Range. Bodegas Borsao is an example of how to produce wines of good quality at low prices.
