Production:
From vineyards overlooking the town of Samaniego at the foot of the mountain range "Sierra Cantabria". Bodegas Baigorri, perfectly integrated into its surroundings, enjoys a unique location in Rioja Alavesa. Baigorri follows a rigorous selection process on its vineyards; the grapes come from old vines, which provide the wines with a unique quality. Harvested by hand and following a very smooth process, qualities that contribute to producing high-quality wines.
The Crianza comes after a very rigorous selection at the sorting table; they are given a long maceration and intracellular fermentation in stainless steel vats, with natural pumping over done by gravity. Afterwards, it spends 14 months in French and American oak barrels.
Tasting Notes: Aromas of very ripe black fruits, dark cherries, and crème de cassis, completed with a touch of spice. The palate is medium-bodied, silky-textured, jammy fruit, juicy with roasted coffee and dark chocolate flavours.
