La Tour de By is a family-owned estate, the Marc Pagès family, and one of the recognised names of the Médoc since the XVIth century. The high reputation its wines have gained is due mainly to the superb gravel terrain and the old wines cultivated using environmentally friendly methods.
The wines come from their own vineyards on gravel soils, ideally located 200 metres from the Gironde. They are characterised by their elegant, balanced style, good fruit intensity, and a fine tannic structure that allows them to age for up to nearly 20 years.
Château La Tour de By has been a member of the prestigious Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux since 1977.
Production:
A single varietal of Cabernet Sauvignon, made from the best vats of Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes come from the family's own 45-year-old vines.
The vines are worked in the traditional way. Vinified and matured in stainless steel vats.
Tasting Notes:
A very fresh rosé with excellent fruit expression, red fruit combining with citrus and lychee notes, and lively acidity. Long and refreshing finish.
