Off the West Coast of Scotland lies the Island of Islay, home to the Bowmore Distillery, where this award-winning single malt whisky has been produced since 1779, which makes Bowmore the first recorded distillery on Islay and one of the oldest in the whole of Scotland.

The distillery stands on the shore of Loch Indaal, at the heart of the island. Its proximity to the sea plays a vital role in shaping its character, giving it a wonderfully rich, warm, and smoky flavour. Bowmore uses the purest water from the Laggan River, floor-malted barley that has been carefully smoked in their peat-fired kiln, and the finest oak casks, hand-selected American oak ex-bourbon casks and European oak oloroso sherry casks.

It is made following the same time-honoured techniques passed down from one generation to the next.

The result is a complex yet perfectly balanced malt whisky, displaying lemon and honey aromas with sweet and delicious heather honey and gentle peat smoke flavours on the palate.
